The Guild has 3 Early Access still has a long way to go, as our test shows.
Good marketing is one - except perhaps for indie Secrets - important tools in the entertainment industry. They accompanied to a game of the first announcement, via appearances at trade shows, to the eventual publication. including developers Golem Labs has every right to apply for the guild 3 with all planned strengths.
But his grandiose words read in 2016, with the view of the recently released early access version as a laughing clamp in the faces of the fans: The " Artificial intelligence is an essential part of the game. Since we started working on this project was our design and technology focus on this feature. Not only because it is but one of our specialties here at Golem Labs also because it was equally important Nordic Games. Every little action in the game is equipped with a set of values that affect various aspects of AI to provide a realistic gaming experience. "
The Guild 3 has in its current state no AI. At least none that could do justice to the genre economic simulation - although the developers for quite some time working on their vision.
Always in the niche
2014 first announced, The Guild 3 wanted to expand the old German genre of Tycoon games to another branch of the American series. The predecessor Guild combined successfully in 2002 RPG, economic simulation and political intrigue.
The fans had fun with the ambitious realization of a dream: one still starts at the beginning as a poor man who is hammering in his tiny hut on his inferior metal and rusty nails sold one piece works its way upwards. Eventually, the skills, the workshop becomes larger and at the end you're leading a branched family dynasty and mopst the most powerful politicians from their positions improve.

the fun was marred but even then of pesky bugs and gameplay that never could keep you that way, what they promised. The actual game was then but often from scab - So the constant repetition of the same steps - and made lovers titles from the two communities offshoots as they stand in the book.
The third part will weed out those weaknesses now and, according to marketing messages, be the best Guild game ever. However, the development seemed to be sluggish. The release date postponed again and again to the rear. The early access version appeared now on Steam and triggered partly from sheer dread in player forums. The promised game is (still) not much to see.
The first time independently
The Guild 3 starts with the classic character creation. We have if we want to start in the city equal to or better high work our way from the bottom as an ordinary village worker who only have to earn admission to the metropolis of the decision. The appearance and character values are still very rudimentary. A handful of similar-looking faces and clothes to choose from.
The character position allows simple adjustments to their own figure. Some RPG values can be adjusted.
The choice is at the end of a blacksmith with Prosperity Plauze, certainly not historically accurate, but the ladies will already fallen. The first act of the day, we forge our first daggers, but apparently struck us the necessary raw materials iron and pine wood again and again from the hands, so incapable raises our day laborers on at work. If we want to put the icons in the production chain by drag and drop, we have to click several times and push until everything fits.
Groundhog Day the marketplace
With the first delivery of goods we start walking on the way to the marketplace. Surely we will soon have a proper carts and trade routes that relieve us of this troublesome service. After our daggers on the marketplace by a repeated visit complicated menus (The button to sell all goods, for example, tiny and somewhat hidden) also changed hands, we still buy new raw materials.
Such is the cycle of goods: deliver finished products, take new raw materials. Thus the highest feelings about the playability in this early access version are already achieved. Who then still carries on, has an extremely high resistance frustration.
